El Capistrano in Nerja, Costa del Sol

The three Capistrano complexes (Village, San Juan, and Oasis) are set around large outdoor swimming pools that require a refundable €30 cash deposit for access. Each complex offers a pool bar, sun loungers or beach chairs, sun umbrellas, and a shallow end for children. Additional facilities include a tennis court, BBQ facilities, a minimarket on site, and a concierge service for tour desk and car hire arrangements.

Capistrano apartments and villas feature typical Andalusian decoration, satellite TV, a washing machine, and a kitchen. Certain units have air conditioning available for an extra €20 per week in cash. Wi-Fi is free only at reception; in villas and apartments, Wi-Fi costs €10 per week in cash.

Capistrano Village and Oasis de Capistrano sit 1.5 km from Burriana beach and roughly 2 km from the center of Nerja, close to the famous Nerja caves. San Juan de Capistrano lies closer to the mountains with spectacular views but farther from the beach and town. A bus runs hourly from all three complexes to the center, though arriving by car is recommended for full enjoyment of the area.

The complexes offer a kids' pool, baby safety gates, and babysitting/child services for families traveling with young children. A shallow end in the outdoor pools makes them suitable for children. Pets are allowed for an additional €20 per stay.

On-site dining options include a pool bar for drinks and snacks, and a cave bar open every evening. The restaurant closes Tuesday and Wednesday, but guests can find supermarkets (Mercadona, Carrefour) and ATMs in the surrounding area. A shuttle service to the center and airport drop-off/pick-up are available for an extra charge.
